Start with Scent Scout
Learn the science behind scentwork and why it is so great for all dogs. Then practice the foundations through simple food and toy searches, with video examples and guidance on reading your dog's search behaviour. Your very first woven badge is included within the Scent Scout Starter Pack.
Training independently?
Get the badge book
Work through all 26 core Badge Club achievements in a printed guide, choosing challenges in any order and training at your own pace. You can self-assess and order your badges once you feel you’ve achieved them. You can enter the assessed Seasonal Challenges separately.

The Scentwork Badge Club is a collection of scentwork training exercises for you and your dog to work through, with physical woven merit badges available to celebrate each one you complete.
You can take part using the printed Badge Book as your guide, or join the online Badge Club membership for expanded training resources, videos and ongoing member benefits.

Nope! The Badge Club is designed to be accessible to dogs and people with all different levels of experience.
If you and your dog are completely new to scentwork, I'd recommend starting with Scent Scout Starter Pack, our beginner-friendly introduction to the foundations of scentwork.

Absolutely! Scentwork is great for ALL dogs. As long as your dog has a nose, they should be able to take part. Always consider your dog's age, physical abilities, confidence and experience, and adapt or skip anything that isn't appropriate for them.

Not at all! Choose whichever badge catches your eye and work through the challenges in any order you like, at whatever pace suits you and your dog.
The only element of the Badge Club which has a time element is the Seasonal Challenges, which only run for a set period of 3 months.

The 26 main Badge Club achievements are self-assessed. There's no need to submit evidence or pass a test. Once you and your dog have completed the requirements and you're happy you've achieved them, you've earned your badge! Physical badges can then be purchased separately from the Badge Club Shop.

The Badge Book is a standalone printed guide containing the challenges for all 26 Badge Club achievements. Once you've bought it, it's yours to keep and work through at your own pace.
Badge Club membership gives you access to the expanded online training library for all 26 achievements, including 75+ scentwork training videos, plus ongoing benefits such as Seasonal Challenges, the past Challenge archive, member discounts and exclusive membership rewards.
You don't need a membership to use the Badge Book, complete the main achievements or purchase the regular badges.

The Scent Scout Starter Pack is a beginner-friendly introduction to scentwork, designed to teach you and your dog the foundations before you head off on your Badge Club adventures.
You don't have to complete the Scent Scout Starter Pack before buying the Badge Book or joining the membership, but it’s worth starting there if you're completely new to scentwork.

Seasonal Badge Challenges run for 3 months and include 24 creative search ideas of different levels, all following a set theme.
Each Challenge includes a limited-edition badge, which you can earn through self-assessment, and you can also choose to submit photo or video evidence of your training to earn League Points towards the annual Challenge League Table.
Badge Club members have access to all seasonal challenges included in their memberships, however you don't need to be a Badge Club member to take part. Seasonal Challenges are open to everyone and can also be purchased individually.

Professional trainers who'd like to use Badge Club materials with their clients can do so through the Badge Club Affiliate Programme.
Otherwise, the Badge Club books, memberships and digital products are for personal use and shouldn't be copied, distributed or shared with others.
